Displaying and Using I-t Plots
Displaying Difference, 1st Derivative, or 2nd Derivative I-t Plots
When two or more I-t plots are displayed in the integration window, the similarity of the plots is often of interest. Chromeleon can analyze the I-t plots and display a difference I-t plot, or a first or second derivative I-t plot of each displayed plot.
Select Decoration on the View or context menu.
Select the Analysis tab and select the desired analysis option.
The Difference option displays a plot of the difference between the main I-t plot and the other I-t plots currently displayed. The main I-t plot is determined as follows:
If the peak I-t plot extracted at the retention time is displayed, it is the main I-t plot.
If the retention time plot is not displayed and I-t plots were selected with the Spectra/I-t Plots tool, the main I-t plot is the first plot selected.
If the retention time plot is not displayed and I-t plots were extracted automatically at different peak heights, the main plot is the I-t plot with the oldest retention time.
The 1st derivative option displays the first derivative of each I-t plot displayed.
The 2nd derivative option displays the second derivative of each I-t plot displayed.
